The person behind the things
Patrick Albert founded Thinglet in Palm Desert in August 2011. Before that came the Navy, two decades of hospitality ownership, a degree from DeVry, and a habit of taking apart anything with a manual.
He has been running web businesses in the Coachella Valley since 1999, which means he has watched local business technology go through several complete reinventions and has opinions about which ones actually helped.
He writes and self-publishes under his own imprint, speaks locally on AI and emerging technology, and is a member of the Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce. Most of the work on this site is his, which is either the appeal or the caveat depending on what you need.
